Mama,
Today is for you.
Yes, I have a gift.
The pre-requisite? You have to be hungry.
Hunger comes in many forms, as we mamas know.
Hungry is the child who can’t quite scoot off of our lap when the last page of the book is read. And hungry is the mama who parents those unending needs.
Hungry is the little girl who narrates her day, looking for a witness to her chalk art on the driveway and her babydoll’s new outfit. And hungry is the mama who lives 8 of that day’s hours with only One witness.
Hungry is the chubby-cheeked toddler at snack-time. “Cracker, mommy?” you might hear a dozen times a week. And hungry is the mama who is always feeding — but remembering the good old days when the Word wasn’t aloof, but was her food.
Hungry is the teenager who cracks open her heart as her body sprawls across your comforter at 10pm. Bedtime is her heart-time and you don’t want to miss it, no matter how tired you are. Hungry is the mama who prays prayers past midnight for the adolescent hearts under her care to grow in God, wondering how it’ll all shake out.
So, are ya hungry?
I know I am.
Tucked away inside these pages is the story of a heart that bleeds and breathes and comes alive in God. It’s the story of your heart (and it’s the story of mine). And today its available on bookshelves and in warehouses and, for some of you already, at your doorstep.
Though not something I often do, I’d love to offer a little giveaway because the words within these pages speak of Him and I want to make Him known.

My daughter is 10. She and I fight like sisters. I approach her about things in a non-confrontational way and she ends up shutting down. I hunger for the day that she takes down her wall and understands that I can be her confidant, if only she would allow me.
I would love to win a copy of this book. I love to ready anything that fills my soul and helping with mothering is a plus.
Yes…I am hungry. Would love a copy of this book.
I thank God for this site and the sister site, “MOB society”. They have been help and encouragement knowing other moms are seeking God’s help, diligently, to raise their children.

Sweet Jenn — you can go ahead and add another entry for having shared it twice, in addition to your comment.
I don’t know how I could do a better job of describing my hunger than the words already in this post. It feels like it was written by someone looking in my window. I stay home with my 8 month old and 2 year old. Husband is gone 12 hours a day and oldest one is in school. Thank you for this giveaway!
I’m hungry for MORE.
I am a mother or 4 girls ages 4, 7, 10 and 12. I hunger for a relationship with my girls that I didn’t have with my mom - where we are on either side of the cross with Jesus is in the middle. So that we may share a bond that stands the test of time and to grow together as Jesus wants for us.
I’m looking forward to reading this book! My hunger is to be the Mommy that God wants me to be for our sweet girls

My oldest of 3 girls is 10 and we are both experiencing growing pains. The push and pull of a momma and daughter trying to find their way in these new waters. I would love a copy of this book. Thank you for all that you do here on this site.
Being a mom of daughters can be so hard when you see them making the same mistakes you made when you have hoped & prayed they wouldn’t. Hungry for more of God and some encouragement on the journey.
Thank you for the opportunity. I truly desire a better relationship with my daughter and the patience to show her how to be a godly woman in a broken world.
Eager to read what Sara has to share for us from the Word!
I pinned it!
I’d love to win this book because I yearn to “be still” and find rest in our Lord. I just lost a friend to cancer; my last words to her were “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” My teenage daughter is struggling with the loss of this sweet friend whom she called “aunt.” Resting in the Lord’s love and knowledge that she is rejoicing with God will carry us through this loss.

I can’t wait to read this book! Thank you for posting about it. Also, one more thing….I’m subscribed to your list after I saw the free printable scripture cards, but I haven’t seen a link come in any emails from you. How do I get the printable scripture cards? Thanks!
“A heart that bleeds and breathes and comes alive in God. It’s the story of your heart”. Any encouragement I can receive to live with this heart I’ll take. I look forward to reading this book.
My heart is hungry for healing..healing from losing a precious pet and having a best friend walk out at the same time.
thanks for the opportunity!

I am hungry for the day that I truly live that I am enough (complete with all my failures) for my four daughters, because they will know that He is more.
I would LOVE to win a copy of this book. As the mother of 2 young daughters I could use the encouragement this book offers

I would love a copy. I am hungry for God. Am feeling like I am in a dessert so I would love this book.
My daughter is 7. From birth to almost 3 I was uninvolved in her life due to alcohol and promiscuity. As me and her dad reconciled and I gave my life to Christ and turned my life around, I have been trying to open the doors between us since. She still doesn’t trust me :-/ I am hungry for the grace of God to just drench our lives in His goodness, and for some encouragement during the ‘dry’ seasons. I also have a 2 year old son and that seems to have driven the rift deeper…this book sounds heaven sent! Sharing on FB ☺
I am hungry to fall deeper in love with Jesus… To live in adoration of Him & to be truly satisfied in Him!
I would love a copy! Always hungry for a new book to make my sometimes upside down life right side up. I hunger to be a better woman, friend, wife, mom, daughter and always looking for inspiration and encouragement when I need it!
Definitely a hunger to guide my daughters in godly wisdom and choices and to be drawn to Gods word. Would love to read thru a copy of this book…
Having just returned from Momcon and our MOPS monthly steering meeting, I’m hungry to bridge all the things I’ve heard, read, and been encouraged by with the reality of my hectic life. I practiced several today and it’s just made me hunger for more application!
This is such an awesome outlook. Right now it feels like I am this mama: Hungry is the child who can’t quite scoot off of our lap when the last page of the book is read. And hungry is the mama who parents those unending needs.
thank you for your perspective of every bitter thing is sweet. It is these moments that seem hard and bitter (for just a few moments or hour) when I look back-are indeed the moments that are sweet like honey!
I can’t wait to read this book. I am hungry, as a mom of 8 daughters, for our girls to be able open their hearts to me, knowing that I know, accept and love each of them. Hungry to know the Lord’s heart for each girl, to know how to pray, fight for, and be there for them in unique ways, at the right moments.
I love my 3 girls dearly, but I am exhausted!!! I need The Lord and His living food to survive each day.
I’d love to win a copy of this book. Going through a difficult season of life right now and am always looking for new ways for the Lord to speak to me.

I would love to win this book…
I would love to read this book. I was looking over Sara’s website the other day and was so moved by her story — specifically by how she shared that what God actually had planned for her surpassed her wildest dreams. I’m in the midst of an infertility struggle myself, and holding onto hope that God knows me and knows my family and has dreams for us that are truly, really better than what we would plan ourselves. Just reading Sara’s blog has put hope in me again that the best is yet to come — and the excitement of not knowing what that might be.
Hungry for more of Him in the midst if two preschoolers and a newborn. I don’t want to miss Him here. Now.
Entering the book giveaway! I love reading Sara Hagerty’s writings! Challenge me in this story God is writing in my own life!

My hunger is for my daughter to know God and how special she is that he brought her to us through adoption.
I hunger for our daughter who deals with special needs to know she is uniquely loved by her Heavenly Father and made just the way He desired. And I hunger for the peace that surpasses understanding in our difficult circumstances with her in knowing that when I am weak He is strong.
I am hungry for help! I often feel alone raising my three girls 13, 5 & 2. When i come to a parenting decision i call my husband, who is a long haul truck driver thats been gone a month today and is coming home til Halloween, and he usually just says I’m the parent i gotta be the parent and put my foot down and that is that. My mother and mother in law don’t offer much help either from 1500miles away. I have been on my own parenting forever.
I am new to faith too so trying to find the balance is hard.
I dont read or own many parenting books but this new venture with my teen daughter is stressful and i need help!!
How timely! I am seriously desiring to desire more. I am in that “I’ll find him when…” place and would love this encouragement!
