True beauty is found within.
Isn’t that what we want for our girls? To understand the most beautiful things are rarely what’s on the outside. To recognize how important it is not to be distracted by what is on someone’s outside but to desire to see the true beauty of what is inside a person’s heart and life.
We find this theme in Scripture too. Remember God’s instruction to Samuel while looking at Jesse’s sons to determine the new king?
But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7
This month, our focus is on true beauty here at Mothers of Daughters. We want to give our girls a foundation rooted in the Word of God and what He says about her identity. As we explore the idea of true beauty over the next few weeks, our goal is to give you resources for sharing how the beauty inside each of us is intended to reflect the glorious beauty of the God who created us.
