Last week was a big week for me for multiple reasons…
For 5 years now my husband and I have sent 1 of our daughters to a weeklong overnight camp close to our home in Texas. This year we sent ALL FOUR! As if that wasn’t huge enough, last week was also the official release of my newest devotional for tweens, You’re God’s Girl!
I’m excited to share this new resource with you because I wrote it for your girls and mine.
You’re God’s Girl includes daily devotions written directly to your girl’s heart and will help her discover God’s truth—who He made her to be, how unique and special she is, and how she fits into her world.
So do you know what I did to celebrate my empty house and new resource?
I slept. All week.
I needed it!
But if I am completely honest, I really struggled with why I wasn’t doing more to share my excitement. Every congratulatory phone call, text, tweet and post actually caused me to feel a tinge more exhausted!
Unlike when my first Devotional, For Girls Like You, was released there were no launch parties, live chats or videos. There was just a grateful, humbled and tired momma!
I felt a little guilty for feeling this way until around Wednesday when it finally dawned on me. My exhaustion and my need to recuperate are actually the beauty of this devotional—I’m a mom, raising God’s daughters, just like you, and I wrote You’re God’s Girl from a place I know well.
Mothering.
I know exactly what it feels like to need God’s daily guidance, restoration, strength and His wisdom.
So I celebrated the release of You’re God’s Girl by simply being His daughter. By basking in His presence and lying at the feet of my Father.
And it was perfect!
And this is exactly what I pray for you. That you would take time to be in His presence and I pray that You’re God’s Girl would be a tool that provides wisdom and guidance as you teach your girls the beauty of being His.
You’re God’s Girl is available online at Christianbook, Amazon and Family Christian and in stores!

I can’t wait to read about the little ladies in your life….

One of my absolute favorite qualities about my daughter Adeline is her heart for others. New child in her class? She’s the first one introducing herself and making friends. Someone is upset or sad? She’s there trying to help and make someone feel better. She is always offering compliments to people or trying to find a way to make others feel special. Opportunity to share Jesus? My daughter has shared her love for Jesus with strangers since she was old enough to talk! Her heart is so filled with love and joy…she just can’t contain it. She shares it everywhere she goes! I am so thankful to be the Momma of this wonderful girl, and I know she would love this book!
My daughter is ok being her. She tells me she likes to read and that is different from the other girls and she is ok with that. She likes herself, most the time. I could learn more from her!
I have 3 girls and they are all different! The oldest has big wavy hair and loves sports, the middle has stick straight hair and loves to read, and the baby has super tight curls and is full of energy for days! Lol
We love 4 Girls like you and subscribe to the magazine. We would love to be blessed with either book to do with my girls!
Keep up the awesome work Winter, you are blessing so many girls and their momma’s!

I have three girls, ages 12, 10, and 8. I love all my girls for different reasons but my oldest is my best friend. We have a wonderful time together, and she always comes to me if she has any issues. My 10 year old is starting to get more comfortable talking about issues she has, and my 8 year old is just a happy go lucky kid who doesn’t seem to have issues (yet!). This summer was the first year we sent our oldest to Christian camp. She had a wonderful time and really grew spiritually but I missed her terribly. She would love to have a devotional to do every day to help further her in her walk with God.
I have one daughter who just turned 10. I love her ability to make friends in new situations - whether it’s a new school, new church, new camp, or with extended family she’s never met. She senses what other kids need in a friend and strives to make peace between friends when they’re not getting along.
This book looks so amazing and I would be so honored to use it this year to learn together with my daughter. She has taught me a great deal. Where I am emotional, she is practical. She is no nonsense when I analyze. She is simple when I am frivolous. She learns from me and I learn from her. God couldn’t have given me a more lovely and intricate young lady as her. Thank you for this opportunity!
My daughter is walking that line between girl and grown-up daily, and it’s been a great reminder that we all could use a little more levity in our lives!
My daughter is my first born. She is strong willed, kind-hearted, intelligent, artistic, nurturing and fun-loving.
My daughter, Maddy, just started her 7th grade year. She is my oldest and only girl of four children. She loves Jesus and I look up to her for the excitement she shows in sharing Him with others.
Of all the other things I love about her, I love watching her sweetness and gentleness toward her brother, Jacob. Jacob has special needs and Maddy forsaken her own needs and wants sometimes to help him succeed, even though no one asks her to do that. I would love to be able to share this book with her to remind her no matter what she faces, God is always in her corner.
My daughter is so confident in who she is…at 10, she doesn’t try to fit in. She know who she is and what she loves to matter what the other girls are doing on wearing.
My Madison is such a doll! She’s confident, knows what she wants (and what she doesn’t) and she has a heart of gold. She doesn’t like to leave anyone out, she always go above and beyond to make sure everyone around her is ok and she always makes it a point to ask every day how my day was.
My oldest daughter has a sweet nature and is passionate about helping others. Whether it is helping a friend ice skate for the first time or making sure someone feels included in a group setting. She has been bullied and excluded in the past and wants to make sure it doesn’t happen to anyone else
My oldest daughter Caitlin has a sweet and compassionate heart. She always wants to make sure everyone in a group is included. Whether it is helping someone to ice skate for the first time or making sure someone is included in a new group. She has been bullied and excluded in the past and wants to make sure others don’t have the same experience she didl.
