Jenny Sulpizio is a wife and mother of three who has recently written a book called Confessions of a Wonder Woman Wannabe: On a Mission to Save Sanity One Mom at a Time .* Don’t you love her already? We asked her a few questions so we could get to know her and her hidden super-powers! Thanks Jenny for hanging out with us today!
1. How many people call you mom?
Three. But I’m finding that they don’t really “call” me mom. Instead, it’s usually screamed, moaned, yelled, or shouted…hardly ever is that name said in a mellow tone of voice. Amen?
2. Describe life as mom in one word.
Hard. Amazing. Chaotic. Beautiful. Blessed!
3. What do you wish someone had told you about mothering in the beginning?
I didn’t need to be perfect at it…that my best was in fact, good enough.
4. How have you changed over the years through mothering?
Every stage my children enter into ends up changing me-the way that I parent, and the way that I see/interpret things. I “think” I’m becoming more patient, and I certainly hope that I’ve learned to listen more, talk less, and lean on God throughout it all.
5. How do you prepare your heart for the next stage of mothering, whatever that may be?
I don’t. If I think too far ahead, I tend to get overly anxious. I mean, to contemplate my daughter driving, dating, moving out and moving on? I could just cry. For me, I’ve got to stay in the moment, breathe in the present, and just take it day-by-day.
6. What Timeless Truth do you cling to?
That God has got all of this figured out. He holds the future for all of us. For me, this is such a freeing realization. I don’t have to overthink it, overanalyze any of it either. He’s got this.
7. What do you find yourself praying over and over for your kids?
The biggest prayer I have for my children is that they will know and follow the Lord-I’m talking truly, deeply, and with their whole heart. That they’ll turn to Him in times of trouble, seek Him when fear rears its ugly head, and know without a measure of a doubt, that God is everything.
8. What resource do you suggest for raising girls?
Dannah Gresh has an amazing book out on the topic called Six Ways to Keep the Little in Your Girl, * as well as a Secret Keeper Girls Tour just for moms and daughters. I highly recommend them!

Is Lois Lane a superhero? If not, Wonder Woman has a good name going for her!
Lol. I think all women are super heroes so Lois definitely counts in my book!;)
Speed - so I can get more accomplished in my very crazy and busy day
Lightning fast speed for sure. That would be niiiiice.
Hmmm…maybe be able to leap laundry piles in a single bound?? Oh oh better yet the power to move things with my mind so I can clean my house while I eat ice cream. Also when my kids don’t want to go to sleep I can just pick them up & put em in bed up with my noggin! Ah well, most days I’m more like THE HULK! lol
Mental telepathy….I’m trying to will myself into owning that power now.
There are so many to choose from & so many that I could benefit from! But if I have to choose, I’d pick the ability to stay cool, calm & collected in all situations. Man…..that would be nice.
Agreed! Sooooo nice!
I wish I had super speed! So I could clean up, take a shower, cook dinner in a flash and then have time to relax and spend with my family!
I hear ya!
I wish I had super patience and that amazing ability to stop right before I feel like blowing up!!! Super speed wouln’t be bad too
The power to manipulate time. Either time travel back to the days where I didn’t engage fully or slow time down now so I can make sure I don’t miss anything.
I have a newborn baby girl and a toddler who miraculously team up and decide they both depsarately need me at the same time. Having “go go gadget” arms would be awesome. I feel like I need 6 arms and 2 brains just to keep up with them!
