As you look at the weeks ahead, will your gratitude journal include the wondrous things God has done for you, in you, through you, around you?
Will you invite your family to join you in recounting the “wondrous deeds” of the Lord? The ways He has provided, protected, saved, and rescued … the times He has comforted and surrounded … the days He has been your only strength … the joys He alone can offer … the hurts He alone can heal?
Time and again God instructed the Israelites to tell their children all He had done. Our children need to hear our faith stories. This year, as you fill out leaves on your gratitude tree or add entries to your family’s gratitude journal or share your blessings at the Thanksgiving table, tell your stories! Take time to recount His wondrous deeds … and truly, wholly, give thanks!!
Happy Thanksgiving from my home and heart to yours!
