Have you heard of the Heroes for Her podcast with our friend Erin Weideman? Erin is an Orange County native, and a teacher turned professional author. A former college athlete, she is also a five-time cancer survivor.Erin and her husband Brent have a sweet daughter named Rooney. She is a mom like us who enjoys going to the beach with her husband and daughter, coaching softball, and pretending she can bake. A couple of years ago began Bible Belles (which we have talked about here on the blog) and she now hosts he Heroes For Her podcast.

I was honored this week to be featured as her special guest. We talk about raising girls and my new book Fresh Out of Amazing. Here is the information about the episode from Erin:

“I, for one, am a frequent over-user of the word “amazing”. In my world, everything is amazing: whether it’s Rooney staying in her bed all night without coming to wake me up or the grilled fish tacos we had last night for dinner. According to me, there’s a lot of amazing stuff going on. A lot of the time, however, my mood, my attitude, and my ability to be my best self could not be described using that word. Motherhood can be daunting, draining, and debilitating. If we’re not careful, it can feel a whole lot less than amazing. ”
